This spreadsheet is necessary to help TEACHERS manage their pupils detention time. Detention is a form of disciplinary procedure given to these pupils to address different forms of misconducts or misbehaviors during school hours. It is a consequence in which students are required to remain in a presumably undesirable place for a specified amount of time outside of school hours. Typically, detentions are served after school. Normally the amount to time a pupil spends in detention will be dependent on the reason behind each detention in order to accord them appropriate discipline for misbehavior on  a  given date or day during school hours. In this spreadsheet software, a detention time of 5 minutes is incurred for each type of misconducts identified by a teacher. So if for example 3 different types of misconduct is a associated with a pupil, an overall 15 mins detention time will be given to that pupil. Based on data input reflecting each pupil's detention, it is possible to run a Teacher's report showing analysis of total detention time awarded to each pupil, and total detention time awarded each day and on different weeks of the school year.
